In Pictures :: artsCape 2010, Byron Bay

Hello. Time for another picture tour – today we visit the Cape Byron beachfront which has been transformed into outdoor sculpture gallery for the artsCape Biennial 2010.  The exhibition meanders along the beachfront with sculptures exhibited on the grass, sand or hanging from the casuarinas... and out to sea the Bay itself is putting on a fine show at this time of year with dolphins and whales passing by...I’m going to risk sounding like a tourist brochure here, but it really is events like this that have me pinching myself that I get to live in this amazing place!

There are 40 artists exhibiting, but I only got snapshots of a few - hopefully if you’re local you’ll have a chance to see the show yourself.

And, at this point in our wander through the exhibition that wayward three-year-old Little Miss Riding Hood of mine took over this mama's attention, so our photo tour continues now with images taken by Louise Beaumont of http://www.louisebeaumont.com/. (Thanks to the artsCape organisers for sharing these)

The artsCape show is on until July 7 and I plan on going back to have a second or third peek! Maybe I'll even get to share some more photos with you... we'll see what my young assistants think of that plan - they weren't terribly interested in waiting for me to photograph anything on the day we visited!
